  • I had a yr 2 yr lease in which myself my mom and eldest son resided i was only 1 on. Lease. I moved out last yr at which time landlord said they would draw another lease for my mom and son. And never did.in no ember they were to have sold the property. But changed mind. Again stated tbey would draw up new lease. Qith prior perssion and adjusted rent of 350 to be out by 04//15. We met for final walk through and lanlord refused to return my last months rent from the end of my actual lease. Unsure how to file and under what area. Civil or small claims etc

We are protected under the Protecting Tenants in Foreclosure Act, and can stay for the duration of our lease. We are willing to leave in 60-90 days, to give us time to find another rental. If the PTFA expires on 12/31/14 are we still protected on 1/1/15? Can they give us more time but then come back on Jan. 1st and evict us? Are we protected past the expiration of the act because we signed our lease before the foreclosure?

  • I just signed a lease and took possession of a property I'm renting. When I did the walk through I found that the house only had 2 screens on the windows. I called to tell the broker and was informed that window screens were not included. The house is also missing cupboard knobs, smoke detectors are broken and other issues. I came into this deal in good faith, but I am very afraid that I am dealing with a slum lord. What can I do?

  • my girlfriend was arrested for domestic violence. The cops left my son with me. The next day i had to go to work, so i left him with my parents. She took the cops over there and got him since she knew i was at work. Now she will not let me see him at all. She wont return my txts, to let me know how hes doing. I keep texting her that i want to know and see my child but she doesnt respond. What court papers do i need to file? I want to get him back right away. I want custody of him. I can provide a better home for him because shes at her parents. which alot of people live there.
